Dark Matter DeFi is a project that the team built with the goal of bringing NFT staking to the realm of DeFi farming through a storyline. NFTs are omnipresent, but none of them are truly born with a developing tale, something they hope to change.

DMD, Dark Matter's native coin, is used in every facet of the ecosystem, including governance. You can stake, pool, and gain DMD. Additional use cases, including NFTs and other technologies, are in the works. As Dark Matter presents tried-and-true applications, they will always be structured in a unique way that meets the needs of their community while also reflecting its theme. Their main goal is to improve their users' experiences in an enjoyable and, most importantly, profitable way.

Why is Dark Matter Different?

Most people have probably seen or been a part of numerous decentralised finance (DeFi) projects, and have seen the dangers that many of them face. A common concern for users is a healthy distrust of the development team and its underlying motives.

Communication and transparency, according to DMD, are the most effective remedies for these issues. Dark Matter attempts to deliver that transparency at every step of the development process, as well as to close any gaps in communication between their development team and their user community. The Dark Matter team sends out a weekly "Fact of the (Dark) Matter" update to their audience, detailing the team's accomplishments, big and small. Their standard operating procedure is complete transparency in communication. The key factor of trust emerges from there.

NFT projects

Dark Matter Defi has 4 NFT projects -

Founders Token
The first Dark Matter NFT, the Founders Token (FT), was given to early adopters, community members, volunteers, and the team. Tokens were distributed, won during pre-launch events, or given to presale members who acquired the highest buyin amount. You can read about the utility here.

Series #0 - Genesis
Series 0 was created as a live, test mint to determine how well the Boxed Generals would perform. Founder Token Holders and a few other exclusive testers purchased the Series #0 NFTs for.02 FTM.

Series #1 - Boxed Generals
Dark Matter DeFi's first NFTs, Boxed Generals, were released to the public. The mint cost 15 FTM, and there were 1000 NFTs available, which sold out in 22 minutes. Read more.

Series #2 - DMD Aliens
With hundreds of distinct minting options, Series #2 is DMD's first generative artwork NFT drop. A Staking Ability Score is assigned to each NFT, which influences its staking power. On a scale of one to ten, with ten being the highest and most powerful, the ability score is calculated. Check the ability scores here. The DMD Aliens mint went live on 7th Feb 2022, and 1561/2000 have already been minted at the time of publishing.

Bobbleheads and Dark Matter DeFi

Dark Matter DeFi is teaming up with Bobbleheads to provide us with utility for our project.

1. 1. Bobbleheads will be stakeable for $DMD token
2. 2. Users will be incentivized to add liquidity to $BOBBLE/$FTM and $BOBBLE/$USDT pools - if you add liquidity, you will be rewarded with $DMD
3. 3. DMD's Series #2 NFTs - DMD Aliens - will be playable in the Bobbleheads game
4. 4. You might be able to farm $BOBBLE by staking $DMD
5. 5. The Bobbleheads team will develop ways to incorporate $DMD in the game
