Is a snail an insect? Is it a mammal? Well, it’s neither of those. Instead, it is a Gastropoda! The class Gastropoda includes slugs and snails. That is too much biology to digest! At least people know that it’s a slow creature. But today, I’ll tell you about the “Slowest creatures on the fastest #FTM chain” yes, that does sound poetic. Today, I’ll let you know about Crypto Snails.

What were you doing when you were fourteen? Playing your favorite 2K game on PC or watching your favorite cartoons. Even though I was doing the same when I was 14, someone had a different plan. The Crypto Snails collectibles are made by an Italian fourteen-year-old programmer who began learning code in September 2021 at high school and started this project as their first homework. Yes, homework does help you. The NFT collection offers you 1000 digital assets created uniquely using programing languages. It is built under an efficient and robust algorithm. The algorithm allows snails to be stored in Polygon and guarantees that each snail possesses unique traits. It also gives you proof of ownership of the snail owned in the Polygon blockchain.

Each snail possesses unique traits which help you differentiate them from the others. There are different snails with different characteristics like:

1. Body: 15.9% Red, 16% Blue, 14% Green, 15% Yellow, 15.2% Light Blue etc.
2. Eyes: 21.1% Red, 19.2% Black, 19.8% Green, Violet, etc.
3. Eye Wear: 55.5 % Blank, 28.7% Glasses, etc.
4. Mouth: 29.2% Blank, Moustache: 12.8%, etc.
5. Background: Red 12.1%, Grey 12.9%, Green 12.5%, Orange 14%, Purple 13.3%, Yellow 11.8%, Light Blue 11.5%, Light Brown 11.9%.
6. Head Wear: Cap 18.7%, Blank 37.9%, Santa 3.4%, Bowler 19.6%, Cowboy 20.4%.

So this is how the collection of snails is segregated, and different permutations and combinations of these traits result in thousands of varying snail NFT collections.

Crypto Snails have a solid and active community. The developers try to give the community by keeping giveaways. They had one on March 17, where the participation steps were quite simple. The users just had to retweet and join a few discord servers to be part of the giveaway. Things like this give the users more incentive to be active and support the developers with future projects.

This NFT collection follows a level system and gives you a better rank as soon as you progress in it, including buying snails, etc. The lowest level is Zoo Visitor, followed by Gift Shop Worker.
