Bobbleheads - Building GameFi on Fantom

The Bobbleheads are 10,000 unique crypto themed characters featuring a combination of Bulls, Bears, Apes, Shibas and many more beloved characters. These NFTs will allow users to continually claim BOBBLE$ tokens that enable them to play our NFT based game featuring NFTs from other projects as well.

Several solutions have been developed to solve the problem of transaction costs on Ethereum. Protocols like Polygon’s Matic have helped increase scalability and eliminate transaction costs on protocols. But all of these solutions necessarily involve a degree of compromise in the core principles of a blockchain network: security, decentralisation and scalability.

Fantom uses a high-speed consensus mechanism to tackle the problem of low speeds on blockchain networks. Unlike other scalability solutions, Fantom doesn’t forego security and decentralisation to increase scalability. Instead, the new platform provides a more efficient solution for blockchain-based projects, which now do not have to worry about low speeds and transaction costs on traditional blockchain networks.

While deciding the ecosystem for this game, the Bobbleheads team needed a fast and efficient network. As a result, we chose FANTOM OPERA for a variety of reasons listed below:

Lachesis Algorithm: Fantom Block times scale to match transaction activity. When network traffic increases, block times decrease. This means that the gameplay remains the same even with more volume.

Community motivation & positivity: Fantom's community has earned an excellent reputation for being one of the most focused, productive, and positive crypto communities out there. It has attracted many great developers, projects, and blockchain architects (Andre Cronje is the prime example)

Fantom prides itself with its unique position claiming to be an 'Ethereum Helper' instead of an 'Ethereum Killer'. Industry buzz and trends have come secondary to authentic building and innovation for the betterment of the blockchain ecosystem with Fantom based on their words & actions.
